Is the purpose of the school system to weed out natural individualism and replace it with dependance
Does not it seem that the schools are run so as to make children who are
naturally individualistic and have the capacity to think for themself and
a desire to learn into bored dependents who will depend upon government
handouts later on in life, besides destroying themself with destructive
activities such as drug addiction. Does not it seem like the
schools are not just spewing nonsensical propaganda about how big
government is good, but they are also turning children into people who are dependent upon it?Those children who do not go along get turned into drug addicts, which benefits the big pharmaceutical companies that sell the deadly addictive drugs (such as Ritalin), which ensures that they will eventually conform. Have you ever noticed this?It starts in kindergarten when kids are taught to ''share'' rather than to respect property rights and then are taught to be glad when the teacher steals some kid is gum and throws it into the trash can, making everybody equally starved again.
Schools in the US are designed to try to keep all students on
the same level, in order to teach the fundementals & life skills so that
when they do get out in the real world, they have some common sense.
Unfortunately, some kids are ahead, & are bored, but how are these
students dispaying this boredom? are they acting out & being disruptive?
If so, then the teacher has a responsibility to the rest of the students to
keep control of the classroom. A lot of students displaying ''individuality'' are labeled lazy, & disrespectful b/c they are not choosing the correct outlet for their creativity. Parents & teachers need to have a good working relationship, & see that these students get the enrichment they need. Parents need to encourage growth, while teaching them the value of cooperativeness, & productivity, even if bored. Teachers need to recognize potential & encourage higher level thinking. In my opinion, students should be tested, & placed in groups according to ability levels, not grade levels based on how old you are. Everyone learns at different levels, & paces. Some learn visually, by seeing & doing. Others learn by listening & remembering. I agree that our school systems need an overhaul, but where do you start. Teachers get just as frustrated as parents, believe me. If you really are concerned about where our schools are headed & the kids that are attending them, do something positive, & be a good example to those kids, instead of bashing the schools & the teachers. Parents are just as important in the education of thier child as the teachers are.
almost everything in this world comes with good and bad and
this education enables you to choose inbetween
this is good thing
No, because anyone who has the capacity to think for themselves
are forced to construe your idea(s) of the public education system, to make
any sense of your argument.
I might be more apt to agree, if you refined your idea(s) around something
other than b/s.
You have a wonderful point of view and Yes, I think You are
right.
sometimes individualism is sacrificed to make sure that the
teacher is able to control a classroom and to teach all students not just
those that would be motivated and learn on their own
No.
